Classroom based
What better way of spending those cold, dark, winter nights than learning a new skill or improving your existing knowledge, which, in turn will help you enjoy next year’s boating even more with the confidence that these two courses give? In addition a internationally recognised certificate is awarded.
Both courses are held in the friendly atmosphere of the Yacht Club and will last for 25/26 weeks, one night per week, two hours per night (7pm-9pm) with about the same time for homework and will run from the end of September through until Easter with the enrolment night for 2017/18 on Wednesday 20th September, 8pm onwards. It is not necessary to be a Club member - all are welcome
The course fee is £200 and an additional cost of about £70 for books, charts and the plotting equipment which is required.
The Day Skipper course will start on Wednesday the 27th September and the Yachtmaster course on Tuesday the 26th September.

In addition to formal qualifications and training the Club welcomes new members and those interested in joining the Club and would like to experience sailing, novice crew members are most welcome.
