The Club has a long history of well travelled sailors. Although the immediate area is not ideal for overnight cruising, day sailing offers many opportunities to explore the dramatic coastline north towards Whitby and south to Flamborough Head.

Many members voyage on extended cruises around the UK or to Europe and the opportunity exists to sail long distance and in company on the annual North Sea Race to Holland.

The cruising fraternity are encouraged to pass on their experiences to fellow members and present reports, video experience and talks etc.
